The Preposition “dans”

“Dans” is used mainly in three cases: to express the physical and abstract location of a person or an object and to express time mostly in the future.

I. “Dans” expressing physical location

Examples:

Le chat est dans le placard.
The cat is in the closet.

Il a trouvé son ordinateur dans la cave.
He found his computer in the cellar.
